From Your President:
Dear PaBIA,
The 2018 Township of the Archipelago Municipal election is now complete. The unofficial results from the Township are attached.
PaBIA wishes to congratulate the winners. Our new Ward 1 Councillors are incumbent Greg Andrews and newcomer, Laurie Emery; and our new Councillors for Ward 3 – newcomers Scott Sheard and Earl Manners.
As we congratulate our winners, we also thank those leaving Council who have served us so well. In Ward 3, Gary French has served as Councillor for 18 years and Ken Williams for 12 years. In Ward 1, Tom Lundy has served for the past 4 years. To each of you, many thanks for all the dedicated time and with the heartfelt commitment to the many challenging issues that you encountered.
We also wish to thank Peter Ketchum for over 20 years of service as first a Councillor and then the Township Reeve for his strong stewardship and leadership.
We now look forward to working with our new Councillors and new Reeve, Bert Liverance, in our efforts to unite our community and protect and preserve our treasured environment.
Cheers,
Tom

Good News!
H4H house drawing
The Habitat house plans are complete and contractors are now offering costs for work that is beyond what our volunteers will be doing. With additional donations, a successful land transfer, and a window of good weather, we can possibly get started this fall.
The Pointe au Baril build fits the Habitat International philosophy perfectly by giving a hand up to hard working families. Habitat for Humanity Partner Families are qualified employees of the local communities we build in. Ongoing education and support for the family is provided by volunteers to ensure Habitat homes are well-maintained and a benefit to the community.

Your donations are needed now to purchase materials and services that our volunteers cannot supply. Donate Now!
