Volume 14 No. 19

Thanks, Terry Clark, for these photos taken yesterday at 7:20 pm (left) and 7:50 p.m.(right)
Isn’t PaB Magnificent?

Honestly, the summer has gone all too quickly! August has been just spectacular, but we are hearing of folks who are closing up and wending their way home, wherever that might be!

For those leaving, please travel safely.

And for those staying, please enjoy it for the rest of us!

Yesterday, at 7:20 p.m. the sky was blue and the winds moderate. At 7:50 the sky had changed. See the pictures above. After that, the winds started to howl…up to 32 mpg or 51.5 kph!!! Fall is in the air!

As we’ve done over these last off-seasons, the eBlasts will be sent out as needed, perhaps monthly. But please know your Board is hard at work throughout the year working on your behalf to provide you with the information you need. If you ever wish to chat with any one of us, remember to go to PaBIA’s website for the most updated list of directors.

And don’t forget to send pictures!

Have a wonderful, safe week!

Quick Reminder to Post Your Off-Season Patrol Card

Please remember to post your Off Season Patrol Tags in a place where our Off Season Patroller, Bruce Tiffin, can get to throughout the winter months. Bruce goes by each member’s cottage to check on it for issues in the fall, winter, and spring.

If you don’t have your tag, please contact Nancy Rogers!

Remember that your membership covers one building. If you wish to have more than one building checked, you must purchase extra tags for other than the main building. If you are new, it also behooves you to draw a quick map and send that to Nancy as well so Bruce will know which buildings to check.

OF INTEREST

SUCCESSFUL DERELICT DOCK DAY AUGUST 2022

A huge shout out to Cath Fairlie, our Director of Member Safety, the MP, the Township, and all the volunteers who helped move mountains of debris to the station. Then a huge THANK YOU to the Township for taking all the scrap to Site 9.

Dismantling old docks, some that had been stuck in the mud and a true eyesore, was a huge chore this past weekend. But everyone came ready to help, use their muscles and spend the day cleaning up PaB waters.

How To Best Share Pointe au Baril 2022?
With YOUR pictures!

Many of you have already sent pictures to me taken this summer. Please, as a member of PaBIA, if you did and are willing to share them, please send along them to me so that we can all display PaBIA’s 2022 summer in pictures in next year’s Yearbook.

Please email them, in their raw form, to Hilde NOW, before you forget!!! Give each photo a name and include the name of the photographer as it should appear in the yearbook. Although I cannot promise I can put them all in, I’d like to try!!! Give me a challenge!

Stories for the Yearbook 2023

Throughout a summer, you have each enjoyed wonderful experiences. Would you please consider telling your story for others to enjoy, learn from, and cherish by writing your story for next year’s yearbook.

As you’ve heard me say time and time again, this yearbook is YOURS to create. Your stories and pictures are marvelous ways to do that. Stories are wonderful and pictures speak a thousand words.

Please consider sending them to me. Feel free to email Hilde with questions! Hilde would appreciate knowing your intent by December, again via email, and articles to me by mid to late January 2023.

Thanks for considering your contribution!!
